Lawrence
I'm wondering if there is a toolset to efficiently create a loupe effect or, if it's easier, the workflow on how to create a loupé effect in AD? Any assistance or help would be generously appreciated. Lawrence Quote Regards, Lawrence
lepr
It's easy to make a loupe by using a filter in AP - see GIF below. Otherwise, just clip a larger version of the text (and background if present) inside an Ellipse. Paul Mc

Looks like there's a bug in flattening the document. Rendering bugs seem to be allowed to be permanent, unfortunately, so there's little point in reporting it. Here is a workaround, but it's messy: Lawrence and lacerto
lepr
Here's another simple construction that will flatten correctly: loupe 3.afdesign I used the Appearance panel of AD to simultaneously have a normal blend grey stroke and multiply blend white fill for the single Ellipse. Brilliant, even though I don't quite follow what is happening. The white multiply fill of the Ellipse at the bottom of the passthrough group is like a window into the composite under the group, and the lens distortion filter magnifies that window. In my opinion, Serif should allow us to create live filters in all of the apps, like we already can create live adjustments in all of the apps.
