Also, I don not see the Publisher or Photo Personas in Designer, i do see them in the other programs

Only Publisher has Personas for the other applications (Designer, Photo). Designer and Photo don't have them.

What error message do you get? Which version of macOS (or OS X) and which version of Designer are you using?

Do you have any suggestions on why i cannot save a file in Designer?

Not without any clues from an error message. Perhaps a Mac user will be able to point you in the right direction.

When you use menu “File → Save” (or the keyboard equivalent), you shouldn’t normally see anything happening, except the “*” next to the filename disappears.

When you use menu “File → Save As…” (or the keyboard equivalent), you should get a file dialog asking you where you want to save to the file to. If this doesn’t appear then it could be possible that the dialog is on a screen which isn’t attached to the machine, so you can’t see it.

While the file dialog is open you shouldn’t be able to do anything other than use that dialog so what happens when you use “File → Save As…”? Can you keep using the application as normal (unexpected behaviour), or do you need to press Escape, or something else, to continue (which would tell me that the dialog could be open but can’t be seen)?

Thank you for responding. I don't see the dialog box. I can continue to work. If i "close" the program, i see a dialog box that asks me to save the document. When i click the save button, the dialog disappears. If i try to close again, i receive the same dialog box.

I suspect you are correct, the dialog box is open but is not visible

Try following this advice from Mac OSX daily, you may have to try a couple of times to get it to 'stick'. Tip: Move the save dialog window once you can see it after resizing the display.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

1 - do a screen shot of your work - just i case it will be lost you, at least have a reference - most definitely will be not -

2 - force quit affinity

3 - reopen affinity and select all your files to be recovered

4 - as you select the file you want -save as - menu opens and you just save where desired
