scrutinizer
When I place an imported image on the art-board and lock its dimensions (aka "aspect ratio") in the Transform panel it honours the aspect ratio as long as I drag one of the corner points. When I drag one of the mid points it transforms the shape not uniformly but along the X axis. Old Bruce
Locking the aspect ratio is only good for changes made in the Transform Panel, it has no effect with the object. There are two ways of resizing keeping the aspect ratio, you have the ability to enter precise values via the transform panel with the W + H linked together or dragging a corner.
