lepr
AD beta 1.9.0.3 macOS 10.13.6 Vector Brushes fail to be applied to paths.
catlover
I hit upon the same problem. With Designer Beta in Vector persona using the vector brush as well as the pencil tool. It works fine in the MAS version, with both the Vector brush as well as the pencil tool. I've tried to swap the Beta raster brushes-procol file with that of the MAS version, but that did not solve the problem. Also, the propcol files of the Beta version are huge (see pics, propcol & Backup1), while the propcol file of the MAS version is only 7kb (backup2). P.S. : And I do have a lot of raster brushes loaded in the MAS version. Thanks for looking into it ! Keep safe !!!! Edited October 12, 2020 by catlover Forgot to say that with swapped vector propcol file it doesn't work either. See post below, Walt.Farrell. dcarvalho84
I can confirm this too, and it was ok on 1.9.0.2. Pen tool, pencil tool.

Why would you try swapping the raster_brushes.propcol file if you're having a vector brush problem? -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
catlover
Hi, Walt. Ahhh ! That's what you get for being hasty.... Annotation to the above post : I swapped both : neither works.
catlover
BTW : I wonder why that propcol file is so big ?
postmadesign
I don't know if this is the same problem or related, but all vector brush presets are exactly the same basic line, the preinstalled ones and the ones I installed myself. This is quite a bad bug, as i makes the program practically useless for illustration right now and I will have to stick to the MAS version for now.
