RafaMiami
I am interested in purchasing Affinity Publisher to design my magazine, which as been distributed in print for 30 years. I am considering Affinity Publisher and InDesign. My question is: Can I design the magazine files in CMYK and export them as CMYK pdf files? This is crucial for me because I must provide the pdf files of my magazine to my printer in CMYK format. I would rather purchase Affinity Publisher than InDesign, but I need to answer this question first. Thank you so much for your help!

I would suggest you try the trial of Publisher available at the bottom of the this page https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/publisher/ . You just have to remember to design using a CMYK document and output/export a CMYK PDF. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Fixx
You can export your InDesign files as IDML and open them. Placing PDF adverts is still a work in progress, there is passthrough feature in newest beta which is not fully satisfactory.
