Bullets get smaller when bolding text

When I bold a certain line, the bullet point next to it gets smaller. Anyway to get the bullet to stay the same size even if I bold the text next to it?  Thanks in advance.

this is a question that comes up occasionally, because bullets take their formatting from the first character of the paragraph text. Usually, though, people who bold the text seem to find the bullets getting bigger. In any case, whatever the size change it comes from the font family that you're using.

But if you're using text styles (e.g., Bullet 1 or another text style that you've created) there's a way to fix that. The post below describes it (for a different case, but it applies to your situation, too):
