I can’t use fx on affinity designer and photo

Hey I was trying  to use fx in affinity designer but it doesn’t work when I but the outer glow I can’t control it or use it I don’t know why same thing in affinity photo  I have seen couple of videos and I can’t use it

You’ve probably been watching video tutorials for the desktop versions of the Affinity apps. In the iPad versions, the fx switches only toggle the chosen effect on or off: to display the parameters on the Context toolbar so that you can change them, you need to tap on the text label (e.g. ‘Outer Glow’).
