inking lineart gets blurred when applying color in pixel persona

Recommended Posts

im pretty new to affinity designer but i llike it a lot so far. however, i just inked a character in the pixel persona  and when i apply color to the background (with a vector shape and filling) it dulls my inking a bit like looking through a stained glass panel even though the inking is the highest layer. It really doesnt pop anymore and that goes for any way i try to color it....dunno if thats just how it is or not. i would love to be able to apply color without influencing my linework whatsoever.

Can you provide a screenshot of your Layers panel or your file, as long as the "inking" layer is above the coloured shapes it should look correct. Do any of the layers have a different Blend Mode or Opacity applied to them? Was the brush that you used to do the lineart textured?
