BarryAl
Hi there, I'm designing a batch of labels for a friend. I have added moons into the design. The moons are vector graphics that I made and embedded into the design. However, even though I set the black in the images to the same across the design, the moons appear to have a slightly different tone of black to them. The document is set to cmyk and the blacks across the board should be c:30 m:30 y:30 k:100 Of course, there should only be one black tone in this design. I've attached a .pdf so you can see what I mean... Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! black_plum_and_rhubarb.pdf
BarryAl
I mean to add. The design was created in affinity design, then placed into affinity publisher as a master which I then used to make the other variations of the labels... BarryAl
Hi Folks, I think I figured it out! Even though I opened the embedded moon graphics within publisher and changed their values to match the rest of the document, it was obviously reverting to their original state somehow. My fix was to open the moons in affinity designer, change their values to match the cmyk generic profile of my publisher document, alter the black to match the one recommended by the printer... then place them back into the publisher document. It appears to have worked. My mistake was to think that since they were embedded, they would automatically match the settings of my publisher document. BarryAl
Hmmm... well, I thought I'd figured it out. I exported the file to pdf and there was a slight difference to the blacks again. Not as obvious as before, I just hope it doesn't show up when printed. Doesn't show on my home printer now, but might be a different story when we send off for the labels to be done... 🤞

BarryAl
Thank you! I exported them all to x1a:2003 hopefully that's resolved it. I really appreciate your help. lacerto
