Staff Chris B Posted October 12, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 12, 2020 Hey Liber, welcome to the Affinity Forums. I can't seem to reproduce this but I have a feeling I've seen it reported before but I cannot find an existing bug report. Can you take a look inside your AppData folder for a crash please? Affinity Store - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports or Microsoft Store - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store)\CrashReports\reports You can acccess the AppData folder by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard and then just type %AppData% Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Liber
Hi, I haven't had this problem again, maybe it was some memory problem or something like that. Anyway, I have these three reports generated about the time I reported, I'm not sure which one it was, sorry, I'll be more vigilant for the next time I have to report to include it. Staff Chris B Posted October 13, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 13, 2020 Thanks Liber, I'll take a look through those dump files. Feel free to wake up this thread if it happens again or you notice a pattern. Staff Chris B Posted October 13, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 13, 2020 Annoyingly, there's nothing useful in those dump files Not that I can see... I saw a reference to memory but nothing concrete so perhaps you're right. PetervL
19 hours ago, Liber said: maybe it was some memory problem Not so long ago, Walt made an interesting comment about drastically increasing virtual memory. I am not able to find that suggestion on the forum anymore. Personally, I benefited from that greatly, without even thanking him. So I'd like to do that now. Perhaps this may help you too.
