Affinity Designer: Partially dragging selection over object does not select it

Hello there,

Is there a way that I can select an object by only partially dragging over it with the selection? I don't want to have to select the WHOLE object all the time.
When selecting multiple objects at the same time when zoomed in, this can be extremely annoying.

Welcome to Affinity Forums
Either press CTRL after starting the selection or go to Affinity Designer Preferences, Tools section and tick Select object when intersects with selection marquee for a permanent solution (in this case pressing CTRL behaves the opposite way - pressing and holding it deselects objects not entirely covered by the selection).
