So, I'm doing some layout work for a personal project, basically collating smaller pages from one file into something larger for DTP. I've just placed the .afpub file containing the smaller pages as an object, and for the most part, it's great.

…but every single time I try to get it to select and display a page in the 11-20 range, it displays page 1-10 instead. Pages 21+ are fine when selected and displayed, so I have no idea what's going on. I thought maybe it was something to do with Sections in the placed file, so removed those, but no dice.

Anyone got any ideas/solutions?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Ravager Zero.

Just to confirm:

  1. You have a .afpub file set up with single pages, not facing-pages spreads, with more than 20 pages.
  2. You use File > Place to put that .afpub file into another one as an embedded or linked document. (Which? in case it matters)
  3. You then use the Spread selector on the Context Toolbar to specify which page to display.
  4. You can successfully choose pages in the range 1-10 or 21-whatever, but when choosing pages in the range 11-20 you get pages in the range 1-10 instead.

If that's all correct, I can say that I do not see this behavior using 1.8.5.703 on Windows. We may need to have the files that demonstrate this. (Serif staff can provide a private upload link if you don't want them to be public.)

(Also, I wonder if Document > Add Pages from File might be a better approach for your project?)
