AFDUser Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Hi, I use Affinity Design in version 1.8.0, (I know it is currently in version 1.8.5) I really like it because it is light and has the practicality of doing everything easily. However, currently I had to stop using it because it rasterizes editable texts when exporting to PSD. So I would like to know if in the current version (1.8.5) or early we will be able to exchange Photoshop for Affinity Design or the wait will take too long? Even "Photopea" already manages to do this, but there are still many other resources that are missing. Quote
Old Bruce Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 HI and welcome to the forums @AFDUser, Sorry to say that editable text in an exported Photoshop document is not possible. Whether the wait will be too long I don't know as that is subjective, I learned to work with the idea that software will only ever have what it currently has. That way I am constantly amazed that stuff improves and I get on with my work as best as I can with the tools I have. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
