Hello everybody!

I installed the version 1.8.4 of the Affinity suite and now the Apple Photos app crashes on launching (never had this problem with 1.8.3). I started the computer in safe mode and everything's fine. I cleaned the system with Onyx but it didn't help. My guess is that the photo editing extensions that Affinity placed somewhere in the system cause the crash (I can see them in System preferences > Extensions). So I would like to remove them (unchecking them in the System preferences panel does not work).

Can somebody tell me where Affinity stores theses extensions? I already spent a lot of time searching. I found the location of the sharing extensions, but not the photos editing ones (such as Affinity Haze removal, Affinity miniature, etc.).

 Thanks in advance !

Before doing anything else, I think you should run Disk Utility's "First Aid" option on your startup volume. This is because if there are any preexisting problems with the file system of that volume it is quite possible updating an app can damage various files, including many that are totally unrelated to the app you are updating.

Apart from that, it is extremely unlikely that any of AP's extensions are somehow causing Apple Photos to crash on launch. Disabling them in System Preferences should make them completely inaccessible to Apple's app.

Also, if Apple Photos is crashing that should generate a crash report.
