Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by the "Properties dialog". Can you provide more info on what you're looking for, and what it contains?

I second @walt.farrell's question but I also want to suggest to try to hit the TAB key. That one hides all kinds of dialogs (and brings them back again).

Hi @ all,

I would like to show you what a property dialog is.
But it has disappeared.
So I show it what I meant, just like I still have it in DrawPlus X8.
I tried this one here, it didn't help, too... Disappeared Panels - Affinity on Desktop Questions (Mac and Windows) - Affinity | Forum (serif.com)
TAB doesn't help.
Uninstall with manual removal of all other directories found, like temp and ProgramData, reinstall, everything like the first installation.
But without object properties.

No, this kind of property dialog is not existent in Affinity Designer (nor Photo or Publisher). If you mean it disappeared after your transition from Draw Plus to Affinity Designer then nothing is wrong.

An object's properties are displayed and adjusted in different panels that are part of the 'Studio'. Look for Transform, Stroke, Colour and Appearance (under 'View > Studio').

Cheers,
d.

OK, a bit strange, thus I first have to get used to the fact that I have to look for it in different places.
To learn more about it, where and to find what,  I undocked all dialogs individually.
Thank you for your assistance...

That's an impressive screenshot and I see you start to get into it 😉

Of course eventually you can tidy up your screen by organizing all of these into groups that make sense to you. And the latest betas just introduced saveable workspaces that allow you to store and recall different setups.

I think it is not too hard to learn where to adjust what.

Cheers,
d.

Yes, indeed, it is an easy-to-use product.

But we humans are creatures of habit.
And so there was panic, without even looking at it with pleasure: "Where are the properties? 😱

I just bought Designer today and so far everything is fine, except that when transferring from DrawPlusX to Designer there is an error in scaling.
A drawing that was previously 80 mm wide is now 105 mm wide.
But that was not bad now, because I wanted to start the document anew anyway...

Ciao!
Robert

Properties dialog needed.  It’s SOP, shouldn’t have to hunt for properties scattered about.  Leaving it off in some minimalist software interface design paradigm is no stroke of genius. Case closed.

If you would like to see a change in the program, please create a Feature Request in the Feedback forum. Adding something on to a question that is several years old will not result in any program improvements.

Also, when you create that request, please be specific about the "properties" that you mean. Thanks.
