CleanLivin Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I have completed a 100 page poetry book, many with complimentary photographs that I have taken. Layout is landscape, 9" wide by 7" high. I want to order an initial order of 100 hard cover full color copies of excellent quality. If they sell quickly, then I will be ordering in quantities of 500 or 1,000/printing session. My best friend has a gallery and is going to market it for me - he is now releasing his 14 book and had over $200K of preorders - thus my book must be of excellent print quality. I need your guidance on finding a print shop that you have used for a like type of book. Book is ready NOW to be sent to the printer and I want it printed in time for the holiday season. Guidance is appreciated as I have never done anything like this in the past. Jack Quote
Fixx Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Well, Estonian press houses have good quality and good prices... but you might be located in a wrong place for this I mean, maybe you should tell us where you are located. Though I know high quality books can be ordered also from Far East and they can send it over... takes too much time I guess in this case. Also, 100 copies fits for digital press and 1000 for offset. Does it make sense to use both? Probably nowadays 1000 copies is already sensible with digital too. Quote
CleanLivin Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Sorry, I didn't mention. I am located in North Carolina, USA. My buddy says it will sell and wants me to print 1,000 books - No way, I'll test the waters with 100. I do have close friends in China that have had works published and printed there BUT no way to make this holiday season done in China. Will consider in the future but prefer to keep everything here in the states. Quote
