ETC
How can I unembed images? I hired a designer to do a calendar. He used embedded images. I want to remove them from the actual file and put them in a separate folder so they'll be linked. That way the actual AfPub file won't be so huge. Thank you. Joachim_L
Use menu "Document" -> "Resource Manager" for this. Click the images, then "Make Linked" and select the folder where the files have to be saved. This works only if the files were not rasterised. ETC
@Joachim_L Maybe they were rasterized. I provided .jpeg files. I see that now they look as if they are .psd files. And when I select them, the "Unlink" button does not light up. As far as I know, he only changed (photoshopped; edited) two of the images. So I could use my original .jpeg files and just replace his .psd ones. But is there any way to "rescue" the ones he made changes to? Thank you. Joachim_L
Yes, sorry PSD cannot make linked, but you can select the image and export the selection (Area pulldown, Selection with or without background) e.g. to a TIFF. In this case all layers are flattened. If you have APhoto also installed you can use "Edit Document" in APublisher, have all layers of the image selected and export this selection (with Affinity layers enabled). This way layers of the image are preserved. ETC
@Joachim_L Thank you. I'll see what we can do. I appreciate your explanations. Joachim_L
