DDan
First Post! Hi All, I am very very new to this and just downloaded the trial version of Affinity. So I need to edit a design that someone made for me however when I open the design in Affinity nothing can be changed. The full design is one layer so I cannot make the edits I need. It was a PNG file as well and I believe the design was created on Adobe Illustrator. Any help is really appreciated and I look forward to working with Affinity in the future. Old Bruce
Hi and welcome to the forums @DDan, Unfortunately a PNG file is only one layer. It really doesn't matter what application made the original. You will have to recreate the whole design. Also what Affinity application are you using, Designer, Photo or Publisher? Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Alfred
Ask the person who made it to let you have the AI file: that file should include a PDF stream by default, but if not they will need to resave it with the ‘Create PDF Compatible File’ option checked. Affinity Designer will then be able to read the PDF stream, allowing you to edit individual objects in the design. HANDJOJO
As per Alfred suggestion you wish to ask the person who made a file to convert in PDF, so you can edit it latter by you. You can view the tutorial related to:
