gregory ciencin Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Affinity photo version 1.8.5.703 (window 10) Since installing new upgrade. Unable to view LUT files in the studio panel. No thumbnail preview of saved or imported LUT files. Quote
Staff Chris B Posted October 7, 2020 Staff Posted October 7, 2020 Hey gregory ciencin, I've checked 1.8.5.703 and the current beta and I can see the previews—how many do you have? I remember I used to have 80 installed and the app would take an age to load and respond when I expanded the LUT tab. gregory ciencin Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Chris ...... I have about 30 lut files entered. I was seeing them before the latest upgrade. Now only the dialog box appears but no thumbnail previews. I can download a file and use it but I have no idea what it will look like from the title of the lut file until I actually apply it. I have tried choosing the lut option from the adjustment option and waited over 5 minutes, still no thumbnails. Quote
Staff Chris B Posted October 8, 2020 Staff Posted October 8, 2020 I'm asking for some opinions from colleagues. Mine are all showing fine and the other person I spoke with only has the default ones and they also show. Do you notice that when you expand the LUT tab, it takes a while to respond? I don't mean for the thumbnails to show—I literally mean the app stops for a good 30+ seconds for me and then I can interact with it again. If you're seeing the LUT names, rather than image previews, that is just how it works since 1.9. That is an intentional design change, not a bug.
