I purchased some brushes, imported them but they do not appear on the drop down list.  I imported them again and the message showed them as being imported for the second time indicated by (2) after the name. How do I select these newly imported brushes please?

Thank you

My guess is you are trying to import vector type brushes designed to work in the Designer Persona of Affinity Designer into Affinity Photo. You can do that but they won't work because Affinity Photo has no designer persona.

Thank you, you are so correct and now I have lots of duplicated and triplicated brushes to delete :)

As they don't show up I don't think you can delete them, except by resetting your brushes to the factory defaults. That, of course, will delete all the brushes you've added, even the ones that do show up. So make sure you have a backup copy of the install files for them, or export those brush categories before you do the reset.

Preferences, Miscellaneous has a "Reset Brushes" option that is the easiest way to get back to the factory-installed set.

Sorry. Wrong; so wrong.

Can’t you simply delete the relevant ‘propcol’ file? ears.gif

Duh. Of course. Not enough caffeine this morning, I guess.
