Gigatronix Pete Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Hello team I am using 2 artboards on a page in Designer & was working on the top one today using HSL & Contast adjustments, finished what i was doing & saved my work. When i zoomed out to see both boards the bottom one appears to suddenly have some kind of transparency on it! I have no idea how this happened or indeed how to fix it ...can anyone help at all? Best regards Pete Quote
Old Bruce Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 You have probably at some time selected items and hit a number key (8 = 80% transparency, 3 = 30% etc.) Select the layers and see what the opacity is. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Gigatronix Pete Posted October 6, 2020 Author Posted October 6, 2020 Hello @Old Bruce & thanks for the reply Everything inside the artboard was showing 100% but when i clicked back on the main 2D artboard header again instead of showing 100% as it does in my screenshot it was showing 20% So i guess i must've pressed a shortcut to 20% while it was highlighted Anyway problem solved & thanks very much for your quick reply & help Quote
Pšenda Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 2 hours ago, Old Bruce said: 3 = 30% This is one of the most annoying features of Affinity. Serif please: - allow turn off this shortcut. I rarely set the opacity that I really don't need these exclusive shortcuts, which also activate rather unintentionally *). - add the display of layers with the status, when a some parameter has been changed. For example, changing the opacity, blend mode, etc. *) This is related to unwanted and non-standard behavior when editing a value entry field, eg in the Transform panel, Stroke width,... If I select a field to enter a value, it must remain selected/active even after pressing Enter. Enter is only intended to take over the new values and apply them to the object/document, not to lose the focus of this field. Pressing the numeric key should then be understood as entering a new value (if the previous one does not match), not as a command to change the Opacity. The current behavior of Affinity is really unacceptable and completely against the standards of handling editing fields (at least for Windows).
