Lemon J Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Hi, This is probably very simply but I'm pretty new to editing, so bear with me. I have a simple image with a slight gradient background. A the top of the image is some white text. I wish to remove the white text and 'fill it' so that I just have the background gradient. When I erase the text, it just leaves the empty layer underneath. I have tried several different things but nothing is working so far. Please advise. Thanks! Edit: I have tried to just paint over it, but it doesn't look natural. I think what I need is to know how to take a sample of the gradient and lay it over the text, maybe? Quote

Hi @Lemon J and Welcome to the Forums, You could try the Inpainting Brush to remove the text, that might do a good job of removing the text. Failing that, you can use the Selection Tools to make a selection of the Gradient Background and then copy and past that selection over the text. If you can post your .afphoto file i'm sure we can offer further suggestions Quote
