Affinity files are not recognised/compatible with my iMac Photo application. Yet affinity states 100% compatible. I’m I missing something?

Hi @Paul1212 and welcome!

I'm not sure where your reference to "100% compatible" comes from. If it's here,

do you mean Apple Photos (the standard image cataloguing app that came with your iMac)?

If so, then you'll need to export your Affinity Photo documents in a format that Apple Photos understands, for example .jpg, .tif or .png. Apple Photos doesn't import or open .afphoto files.

Hope I haven't misunderstood, post back if you have further questions.

In several apps including the Affinity ones, as explained here you can also open image files stored in the Apple Photos system photo library by using the sidebar "Media" item.
