Eddy-2
Following an 'Offset shape' thread, I stumbled across the Expand stroke command. I draw a rectangle and after using the Expand stroke command I end up with two curves and eight nodes. Deleting four of the nodes to get just the one shape is no big deal but deleting the redundant ones on a more complex shape could be. After a bit of head scratching, I discovered that the 'Separate Curves' command did the job. That option isn't mentioned in the Help file's Expand stroke section. Should it be? Eddy-2
Also, after using the Expand curves command, the result is listed as 'Curves' in the Layers panel. The right-click menu for Curves doesn't list Separate Curves as an option. It would be handy if it did.

Please post your suggestion for it to be a possble option in a future update.
