qrispy Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Links within the Startup Welcome Panel are not working for me. The only things that work are the "Close" and "New Document" buttons and the "View Samples" panel. If I click on anything else it either wont work or will cause the program will freeze. I am using the Windows App Store version 1.8.5.703, but I have had this issue on previous versions as well as on Publisher and Photo. Quote
SPaceBar Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Hi @qrispy Welcome to the Affinity forums. All of the other links that you mention open browser windows, are you having any other issues with opening your browser? Would you be able to upload a video of this so I can see it as it happens? Quote
qrispy Posted October 5, 2020 Author Posted October 5, 2020 I did some more testing. I changed my default Browser away from Chrome, to Firefox, Brave, and Edge, and they all seem to work. So it looks like this is only an issue with Chrome. I assume this is an issue with my Chrome install. I disabled all Chrome extensions to see if that helped, but it did not. I don't think a video would be much help because nothing happens, it just doesn't work. If no one else has this problem, I am fine just using another browser. I am trying to move away from Goggle anyway. Thanks Quote
SPaceBar Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Thanks for the extra info. I will try making chrome my default browser and see if I can reproduce it. Can you tell me what version of Chrome you are running in case it is version specific? Quote

SPaceBar Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 I have set Chrome 85.0.4183.121 (Official Build) (64-bit) as my default browser but am still unable to reproduce the issue. I only set it to cover HTTP and HTTPS and it seemed to work ok. Can you remember which settings you were using? Quote
