It would be very nice to have a simple shape tool called pill tool which could create a shape formed like a pill

Hello @Zwiebelgian,

can you perhaps post an image of what you call a pill? Thank you.

Most pill shapes are circles or round-cornered rectangles. Such shapes are easy to create with the Shape Tools which are available in all of the Affinity apps.

Thanks for that. I am not sure if this is what the OP had in mind ( [irony] only due to the complex 3d effects on this one [/irony]  ... 😉 )

I think @Alfred is closer to it but, still, I'd like to hear/see what @Zwiebelgian has in mind.

(Showing my age here) I guess we could "...Go ask Alice..." [old guy smiley face emoticon]

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hello, Sorry for being inactive, i thought about something @Alfred or @RNKLN mentioned. It would be very useful to draw someting real quick but @Pšendaalso had a really good solution 😉

Hi @Zwiebelgian,

thanks for coming back and explaining. I think this can be done easily with the tools we already have. The rounded rectangle tool works quite well.

Cheers,

How about using the rounded rectangle shape whereby you then increase the curve radius?
