ghallesy Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Hello, I imported a png file into AD. It has no background. I then exported in EPS and it put a white background to the picture. I even tried bouncing without a background and it didn't work. The document itself does not have a background so I am not sure what to do from here. Any suggestions? Pudgy_Sig.eps Quote

firstdefence Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Why do you want to export to an EPS? ghallesy Posted October 2, 2020 Author Posted October 2, 2020 @firstdefence This is a design that I am putting on the sleeve of my shirts. I started a strong man clothing line and the printing company I am going through requires EPS. Quote
firstdefence Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I could be wrong but I don’t think Affinity can export your file as an EPS with transparency, the way they do this from Illustrator and photoshop is to use 8 bit colour tiff as the eps format, so exporting the file as an 8bit RGB tiff would retain the transparency. Without knowing the company I don’t know if they would accept a tiff file. ghallesy Posted October 2, 2020 Author Posted October 2, 2020 @firstdefence Ok I appreciate that, I will check with them. Does it affect the file at all as far as degradation in quality? Quote
firstdefence Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 No doesn’t look like it… 259226871_PudgySig.png.72edd905024cd4f00d1890ca9edd389a.tiff Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
