Things like double-click speed will be controlled by the macOS in the System Preferences. You can even set it up so that your secondary click is a single click using 2 fingers or assign it to the right or left bottom corner of your trackpad. Take a look here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1138/10.14/mac/10.14 - Then adjust the settings on the trackpad or mouse if you are using one.
