sfriedberg
New crop of issues with the beta contour tool. 1) Instead of "px" the radius box on the toolbar now claims "in", but with a bizarre scaling factor. Very, very roughly a reported "300in" is about 1 real inch on my 8.5x11 document. My 15" diagonal 1920x1080 laptop screen certainly doesn't have 300 pixel/inch density, and the number displayed doesn't seem affected by viewport scaling (CTRL+, Z command). Equally certainly, a contour width of 300 inches will not fit on a 8.5"x11" page, but I can fit multiple "300in" contours on such a page. 2) If you drag a contour far enough (range of "1200in" to "2500in" in the attached sample document), a messed up secondary contour appears, clipped by the original curve. I presume this is due to numerical issues in the process of approximating the contour curve. Test Closed Curve-1.9.0.767.afdesign
Staff Sean P Posted October 1, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 1, 2020 Hi sfriedberg, The first issue is a known one, it is actually giving a pixel readout, but showing document units instead of showing you the value in your document units. I presume you're document is 300 DPI hence the 300in when applying a 1 inch contour. The second issue is something we're aware off that also affects really strokes with a very large width when applied to objects - it creates a gap inside the object. sfriedberg
