AlejandroJ Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 For the Tone Curve, if being in RGB mode, it is possible to choose from a pop-up menu if to work in GREY, RGB, CMYK or LAB mode. I would like if it were possible when being in RGB mode, to be able as well to choose if I would prefer to work in LAB mode for the Unsharp Mask that can be opened from Filters > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask (the destructive filter). Maybe there could be just a box where you could tick that you want to apply the Unsharp Mask using the Luminosity channel form the LAB mode. There is another photo editing program which does not allow to work in LAB mode but includes this possibility, so I would think that it could be done. The purpose of this would be, if willing to do a sharpening in LAB mode, not to need to convert to LAB (via Document > Convert Format / ICC Profile > LAB/16 > etc...), and then back again to RGB mode. If it can be done for the Tone Curve, why not for the Unsharp Mask? Not that I can’t live without this, but it would benefit my workflow. I don’t know how many other users of the program would like to have this ability added to it though and would think it might be useful. Quote
