foto-grafic Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Hello, I apologize for the trivial question: What is the button indicated by the arrow for or how should it be used? Hovering over it with the mouse it tells me 'Change all levels' but, whether turned off or on, absolutely nothing changes for me. The guide does not add anything else to clarify. Did I not understand how it works or did I not understand how to use it? I'm on APhoto 1.8.5 Thank you jAffinitySerif 1 Quote
Ron P. Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Edit All Layers according to the Help: Quote Allows selection and editing of layer contents across all layers (rather than the current layer). If you do not have that button selected, then you can not edit any layer that is not selected in the layers panel. EDIT: Well I just tried it and seems to be a bug. I have it work as described before, but currently it doesn't. The Edit in All Layers is a function meant for Designer. I think they included it in Photo, so when you would bring a file from Designer into Photo that had Layer (think container) layers. https://affinityspotlight.com/article/affinity-172-updates-available-now/ Quote Affinity Photo 2.6..; Affinity Designer 2.6..; Affinity Publisher 2.6..; Affinity2 Beta versions. foto-grafic Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 @Ron P. Fast response, so, can you confirm that in APhoto the button doesn't work; this explains why I could not understand anything, however, in the APhoto guide it says that it is used to modify all levels ... bah! Thanks for taking your time. Quote

These two types of object can be added to an Affinity document by Designer, not Photo. Quote
foto-grafic Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 @anon2 Thank you very much for the clarification, now the concept is clear. Quote
jAffinitySerif Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 The concept is not clear to me. What does “Edit All Layers” do? Quote
