I cannot even draw a simple icon with this poor function. as you can see in the attachment, No.3 is the shape i'd like to draw, and i thought it sure be started from No.1 then with the geometry function it would be certainly cut well,  however it happened to be No.2, it's ridiculous.

Number 2 happened because a Geometry operation always joins the start and end nodes of the selected curves if they are open. For the example that you’ve posted, you need to break apart the donut if you want to connect sections of it to the two open curves.

Fine, I think that's not a good feature.
