Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct spot for this question as I'm new to AD, so here goes...

I've purchased 6 continent maps that contain layers for the countries within the continents. Currently, the continents are one shade of grey. The objective is to change the colour of a continent but have the countries display in a different shade of that colour to distinguish each country.

Is there a way to do this in one click or do I need to highlight and change each country layer? (I've included Africa, for which I've changed the fill and stroke, but not shading.)

Many thanks

Are the files you have purchased vector format i.e. SVG, EPS, PDF and does each continent layer have a curve layer? showing an expanded view of the layers would help.

If so you just need to change the fill colour for each country.

If they are pixel layers you can add a recolour adjustment filter to each country.

In addition to the advice above, and on a slight tangent, you may be interested in this site if you want SVG maps: https://www.amcharts.com/svg-maps/
As it says on the page, the “maps are available for free for non-commercial use under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.”
There don’t seem to be any continent-specific maps available, although there are some that cover the whole world which could be cut-down as necessary.
Note: I have no affiliation with this site; I just found it while browsing the web a while ago.
Note: Also, I don’t know how accurate or up-to-date the maps are.
