HI,

I have just begun to use Designer, so hopefully this is just a silly beginners mistake. I am using Designer on an Apple. I make use the utility 'Latexit' to make equations using Latex. Latexit is basically an equation, and similar, generator - you enter some Latex code, it renders the equation, you copy the PDF and paste it into your document, drawing etc. This works with all apps I have used it with except for Designer, which seems to often make a mess of pasting the equation - the equation is in the form of a PDF. Some characters might be missing, others changed. I hope there is a simple fix (that I am doing something stupid), though I note that there are other posts of problems with Latex generated PDFs and Designer. These other discussions seem to be about font licenses (? - I could be misjudging - it has been a long day) which ought not to valid here as the font is a free font. If needs be I can submit some examples.

all the best,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy_H,

Welcome to the forum :)

Rather than pasting the PDF have you tried placing it into your document Via File > Place?

Thanks
