Pdf preview colors don't match after export with "press ready" preset.

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I just made a quick test in Affinity Designer where i testet the "press ready" preset for pdf export.
Previewing in different apps after exporting, the colors look all flat and greyish.

Is it due to build-in softprooving of affinity pdf's or is there something wrong in my process?

I put my example in the video below:

"Press Ready" has converted to CMYK. It is not possible for CMYK to produce as saturated an orange as the colour in your Adobe RGB document.

Ok, thank you. I was just wondering, because when i did the same in InDesign with other documents (working in RGB - converting to cmyk)
there was no noticable difference in the previews. Any idea why that is?

Thanks best for the efforts.

Depends on the particular colours. If all of the colours in your RGB document are contained in the gamut of the CMYK profile, then you'll get a faithful conversion.

The Color in monitor use The RGB color Profile, for PDF Prestasi Ready the color Profile is CMYK, and for print offset of course not 100% same, therefore maka sore before create a Documents you must select the color Profile, for I.e if you wish to creat document for display only like web, e-flyer you can select RGB color, if you want print then you must select color profile to CMYK.

The color like stabillo/flourence need the sparation proses in offset printing to get it.
