Affinity designer very slow with brushes

Dears

I have a recent iPad pro, affinity designer works very well with vectors but as soon as I try to use textures brushes it become very slow, my document size 3000x2000 with 300 dpi.

I think I’m missing some basic concept about brushes abut I already saw all the tutorials so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Is this slowness normal? What I am missing?

Can you do a screen recording to show what is happening and attach it to your post. You can turn on screen recording in the Control Centre on iPad, Also turn on Show Touches in Affinity settings. 🙂

see the video... this happens in a project with one hundred vectors and few images, if I do the same in an empty project it is working fine.

Is this normal? 
Am I missing something?

Definitely not normal I have the first gen iPad Pro works fine. Are you up to date with iPadOS? Is the app up to date? Have you tried closing all apps and doing a Forced Restart.

i have latest OS, I did a restart and closed all other apps, Affinity designer is updated as well.

 

Now it works better, thank you very much!
