catlover
I downloaded the Auto FX GRFX studio Pro-Ai software trial. This works as both a standalone & plugin. According to Auto-FX's Specs it should also work as a plugin for Affinity (as specifically stated in the specs). Sadly, I can't get it to show up in the Filters dialog. Tried various path entries - automatically ( /, full path desciption ) but nogo. Anyone has any ideas, please ? Thanks in advance
Staff Lee D Posted September 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 26, 2020 It's not a plugin I believe we have to test, just to be sure, double check and compare against the Help for installing plugins. Has Allow "Unknown" plugins to be used been enabled on the Plugin options in Preferences and does the plugin show in the list above? Even if all of the above are as they should, theres still no guarantee that the plugin will work. Some plugin issues are caused by the sandboxing on macOS with the App Store version. catlover
Unknown plugins is enabled, plugins don't show in list. I'll put it down to the sandboxiing then, because I've got the Appstore version. Thanks. C.L.

Could you explain a bit more about what issues might occur? I thought that ticking "Authorize Global" (twice if necessary) & setting "Plugin Support Folders" to a forward slash (thus enabling access to most of the startup drive) would eliminate any sandboxing/quarantine restrictions on using PS plugins in any Mac version, including those purchased from the Mac App Store. Staff Lee D Posted September 28, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 28, 2020 @R C-R & @catlover Sandboxed apps are designed to prevent unrestricted access to user data and system resources. It can also limit the amount of files/resources a Sandboxed app can open within the app
