JB10940 Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 After updating affinity to latest version I am now experiencing a crash when using hdr merge on my iPad 6th generation. I am on iPadOS 14. Not sure if this has been addressed already, if so my apologies. Quote
Staff Chris B Posted September 30, 2020 Staff Posted September 30, 2020 Hey JB10940, I've had a few goes with various files and it seems OK to me. Have you tried restarting the iPad? If you can supply the original images that might help. Thanks Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
JB10940 Posted October 5, 2020 Author Posted October 5, 2020 Thanks for the response Chris B. Not sure why but after a couple of days it worked even though I didn’t do anything different and am using the same images 🤷🏻♂️. I’m glad it’s working even if I don’t know why. Chris B 1 Quote
jmbwind Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Hi: I just bought Affinity Photo (1.8.6.198) for my iPad Pro 11inch running iOS 14.1. I am having problems with HDR merge (infinite loop), and photo stitching where nothing happens when tapping the stitch icon. Thanks for any guidance. jean-marie Quote
Lord-ED Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 I regularly had the issues in the past that HDRs were not merged and AP got stuck “ merging the HDR” and only solution was to restart the app. with iOS 14 and newest AF version this is a permanent issue, speaking I cannot merge any HDRs at the moment! Have you tried hard resetting your iPad. A bit like restarting windows, fixes odd issues. Might help and doesn’t effect data. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). JB10940 Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 Not sure if this helped but in deleted the app and reinstalled it and that seemed to help resolve my issue. Quote
Lord-ED Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Yes, I have tried all of the above. AF just freezes as can be seen in the screenshot and only solution is to restart the app... Quote

HDR Merge works fine in my tests on iPad Pro first gen, did you try closing all apps and restarting your iPad or try a Forced Restart to fix it. As I said in my reply to the OP, it is working fine for me. If you're having difficulties, try attaching the source images you are using and provide info about your iPad so we can attempt to reproduce on hardware that matches yours as closely as possible.
