RadhaMadhava
I'm a 20+ year Photoshop user. I'm trying to work in Affinity Photo and mask out sections of an image, to blend it into the background etc. Normally in Photoshop I would add a mask, then use the gradient tool to draw out smooth fades to remove any elements I didn't want. I would click and drag a radial or linear gradient, let go of the mouse, see what it did, then click and drag again to paint out another area in the mask. In Affinity, I make a mask, apply a gradient, and when I click to make another one, it resets the gradient I already made, and makes a new one. This is highly frustrating! How can I use the gradient tool in a destructive way, rather than non-destructive? Is there another tool I should use? Do I have to hit some key combination to rasterize the gradient between strokes? Please help me. This is a make it or break it for me with Affinity. eiketre and Jowday
thatGuy
You can either rasterize your layer after each masking operation if you insist on a destructive operation, else you can just add more mask layers to remove more areas
