I searched and found some earlier reports which are more than a year old, many had been retired to the (Pre 1.7) Bugs on Mac so I figured I would start a new one as this is still with us. The eraser tool in the RAW Overlays doesn't work well. I cannot erase anything from a Gradient Overlay. There is still the stuttering happening. This is also happening in the beta [1.9.0]

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi Old Bruce,
As far as i know this is by design. Gradient Overlays remain editable so you can re-adjust its position as required. The Overlay Erase Tool is supposed to delete brush overlays only. Advanced masking can be made in Photo Persona. I'm not sure what you meant regarding stuttering. I'm not experiencing any neither in v1.8 nor in 1.9. Any chance you can record a clip showing what you are seeing? Thanks.

Okay, that makes sense about the Gradient overlay.

Regarding the stuttering...

Thanks for the clip Old Bruce. Seems a spacing issue with the brush. I'm logging this to be looked at.

Yep, reported years ago like so many bugs that persist.
