Mic T Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 (edited) How do I reactivate automatic clipping for masks? When I select a layer and create a mask, it used to clip to the layer automatically. This is consistent with what it says in the manual: "By default, a created mask layer is clipped to the selected layer or added at the top of the Layers Panel if no layer is selected. It can be moved within the Layers Panel to affect greater or lesser areas." The problem: now when I select a layer and create a mask, it always appears in its own layer and I have to manually select "Mask to Below." What setting do I need to change so that it goes back to the automatic clipping the way it was before, and the way it is stated in the manual? Thanks in advance!
