Connor8100
Not sure whats going on, I'm using a 2008 iMac , have been using aperture for years, just recently switched to affinity photo. Not familiar with photoshop at all, so the first one that comes out with a soup to nuts manual will a hero. Have been watching all the tutorials (great but need more definitions and dumbing down for me) but am stumped by this problem. When I import a raw file from aperture to develop all the edges look fine before I develop and go into photo persona. After it develops the edges, for lack of a better term become scalloped. After export they look fine when viewing in finder. Any ideas how to correct this? Tried to attach an example. Thanks in advance , Chris
Staff MattP Posted August 22, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 22, 2015 Hi Chris, I'm guessing that as you zoom in it starts to look correct after about 100%? If so, it sounds like you're seeing some very unfortunate artefacts from a view setting. Just go to Affinity Photo -> Preferences -> Performance and change the View Quality setting to Bilinear. This setting is auto-set on first run by looking at how many CPU cores your machine has - if you have 2 then it is set to Nearest Neighbour by default to keep things slightly faster. Hopefully that sorts things out for you :) Thanks, Matt
Connor8100
Did as you suggested and it solved the problem. Thank you for your quick response. This is great software, just trying to learn a little each week. Chris
