JakeMacgill
I've set up my master pages for my publishing project. I've checked my formatting multiple times and everything looks to be set the way I want it. When I am pulling in my text and images from external files, Publisher is ignoring my settings, specifically my text flow settings. I've taken a picture of my master settings for the page I'm loading and what my loaded page looks like without the text flow working. Since I'm new to this I know there is some simple setting on the program that I'm overlooking. I hope those of you with more experience can help me. Old Bruce
This looks like you have applied the text wrap to the text frame instead of the image frame. JakeMacgill
Thank you for your reply. I actually ended up applying it to both, not knowing which one needed to have the settings. Neither has been working for me.
Old Bruce
You want the picture to push the text out of the way so apply the wrap to the picture. The picture will then have the text wrap around it. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4 Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear. JakeMacgill
Thank you again, Old Bruce. Thanks for your patience, too. I took the wrap off the text frame and made sure it was still on the image frame. Even with that change it still isn't wrapping. I even tried going to the inserted picture and adding the wrap settings to it. Still no joy.
walt.farrell
If you can provide a sample .afpub file that demonstrates the problem that will probably provide the quickest way that we can help you. thatGuy
In previous versions sometimes I got the wrap outline corrupted, try checking if it fits the picture frame
JakeMacgill
Thank you @thatGuy. I checked and it looks good as far as I can tell. @walt.farrell. I've attached a file I stripped down except for the master pages and the few pages up to the page that isn't complying. I'm sure it is probably just a little thing I've done that messes things up. Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience yet to fix it. You can tell by the amateurish layout that I'm still getting a handle on this whole program. Thank you so much to everyone who has been helping. Troubleshooting.afpub

Go to your Master Pages for the Recipes and remove the text wrap from the text frames but leave it for the picture frames. JakeMacgill
@Old Bruce That worked! Thank you! And now I know how text wrap is supposed to work. What a relief.
