a3creative
Hey guys, moving from Adobe to Affinity (and super stoked). For the life of me, I can't get the color picker/eye dropper working. https://prnt.sc/ulxtqb - nothing happens when I click it and other than holding my mouse button and dragging it down to an area, where it kind of feels like it is doing something, but doesn't pick up any color. What am I doing wrong? I just want to use this eyedropper tool to pick up a color and assumed it would be easy.

Ron P.
Welcome to the forums @a3creative, You need to drag the color picker tool, (eye dropper) to the color you want to select, then click on it. That color will be represented in the color well, (the dot beside the eyedropper). Now you need to click on that dot. Thanks.
Ron P.
Your welcome, Also I had to amend the link, as it didn't take to the specific topic. It should now. This is exactly how the Color Picker Tool (in Toolbar) works, if Apply to Selection in Context Toolbar is checked. 2989 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301 Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155.
