GarryP
Designer 1.8.5.703 on Windows 10 (same fop beta 1.9.0.743). I don’t know if this is by design, or a bug, or just a missed opportunity, so I thought I’d mention it. As you can see in my attached video, when I have multiple shapes with differently-coloured strokes, swapping the stroke colour for the fill colour makes all the shapes the same fill colour. I thought it might be nice to have the stroke colour and fill colour of each shape to be swapped individually. Is this something that other people might want, or is there a good reason why it works this way? 2020-09-22 09-09-18.mp4
Pšenda
I can say for myself that I would not expect other function. Since you have selected all the objects, and you change the definition of the fill/stroke color according to the value in the Color panel, it is obvious and completely expected for me, that it will change to the same color. If you would like a function that swaps the fill/stroke color independently for each selected object, it should be somewhere in the menu, as a specific command/macro. It is an interesting idea and has some logic to it. At least I would expect that the toolbar option 'Transform Objects Seperately' adds this capability. Even though transform and a swap of properties are not exactly the same 🙂 d. This is not a specific Swap function that would swap colors for all selected objects. You are right, there has to be a distinction between this particular swap arrow in the color palette that relates to only one combination of fill and stroke color. And the general idea to swap colors of all selected objects. But I do like the idea to swap different color combinations on multiple selected objects just as I described about 'Transfer Objects Seperately'. So with the 'logic in it' I refer to the question on how to treat multiple selected objects with different fill and stroke colors. Thanks for making me this more clear (and I hope it is now). d. Yes, that would be a useful feature.
