Simm Posted September 22, 2020 Share Posted September 22, 2020 (edited) Returning to some previous work in Affinity Designer, the Artistic Text tool now places the typed text below the crosshairs cursor where always before, the typed text appeared above the crosshair typed cursor. How can I correct this? Any information will be appreciated. The problem with the Artistic Text tool is even more erratic behaving strangely even after several re-starts. GarryP Posted September 22, 2020 Share Posted September 22, 2020 I’ve just tried this in Designer 1.8.5.703 and (beta) 1.9.0.734 and it’s working as expected; the text is inserted above and to the right of where I click. However, if I change the Baseline setting in the Character Panel new text will be inserted below where I click. Can you check your Character settings and see if this is the problem? Try using the Revert Defaults function and see if that fixes things. If neither of these fixes the issue then we may need a screen-grab showing your Character Panel at time of clicking, or a video showing us what happens.
