Artistwright
Hi team, So I've been doing alot of continuous line drawings recently, mainly working with strokes. I then go into the pressure settings and manually move the nodes within that to get the result i want. The problem I run into is this, The window for the pressure settings is really small, and the more nodes I have the harder it gets to select each node, its all so cramped. Is there a way to expand this view? better yet is there an update coming that will allow me to edit the thickness of my stroke directly? Affinity Designer (desktop) Mac Any help appreciated, cheers
GarryP
As far as I know there’s no way to alter the size of the Pressure pop-up and, since it’s a pop-up, that’s probably correct as pop-ups are generally used to allow the user to quickly change settings rather than making lots of edits. Might I suggest that a new Profiles Panel is introduced? Profiles are used throughout the Affinity applications: Pressure (in various places); Blend Options; various Effects; etc. Because of this it might be nice to be able to manage them all in a central place where the user can edit them in a larger canvas and save them for use in different places. For instance, I could create a profile and then apply it to a stroke pressure, and/or a Bevel Effect, and then edit that profile and have everything that uses it change as the profile changes. A bit like how we have different palettes containing colours which can be shared amongst layers, we could have ‘palettes’ of profiles which can be shared. It’s just an idea; maybe people think it might be useful, maybe they think it’s a bad idea, I don’t know. R C-R
Staff Lee D Posted September 22, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 22, 2020 @ArtistWright As @GarryP states the pressure pop out on the Stroke panel or other areas don't have an option to resize to allow greater control of the strokes width/thickness. @GarryP Don't forget to post your suggestions in the Feature Requests & Suggestions section of the forum.
