Jakub Bednarz
Hi, I just saved a file I was working on and relaunched Affinity Photo, after a weird behavior of the program (slowing down, not reading a shortcut). It now says that the file is corrupted and it offers me a recovery version that fails to load in the same way. I can’t open my work at all. I read in the forums that you’re not supposed to work on external drives with Affinity Photo, so that might’ve been the source of the problem. I’m sending you a link to the file. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1crGTTbpAmSPGMpYuSbUGJ30a2QdrGKtK/view?usp=sharing I’d be glad if someone could take a look at it and try recovering what’s left of it. I’m on version 1.8.5.703 and working on Windows 10, although the file was created on OSX. Thank you, Jakub Bednarz Kosciuszko_plakat.afphoto
Jakub Bednarz
Hi, Just to let you know, I solved the issue. I opened Affinity Photo, went to File>New Batch job, selected the corrupted file and saved it as .afphoto in a different location. The new file it created is functioning properly. Best regards, Jakub Chris B
Staff Chris B Posted September 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted September 25, 2020 Thanks for the update. Your file crashes the beta so there's still something to pass back to the developers.
