"Find in layers panel" for locked layer

Recommended Posts

Affinity Designer

I find unlocking a layer challenging when I have hundreds of layers. For unlocked layers, Find in layers panel works a treat. But for locked layers this option is greyed out (I guess because the layer cannot be selected) and I have to scroll through all the layers looking for the one I want to unlock.

What's the smarter way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi psheld,

I can't see a way to do this, other than scroll down the layers panel.  You are correct that as you can't select a Locked Layer, you can't use Find In Layers Panel.

I suspect if anyone is aware of a method they reply shortly :)

Switch to Outline view mode, there are unicorns there that will assist you in selecting locked layers

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
