LostInTranslation Posted September 17, 2020 Share Posted September 17, 2020 I often need pieces of text from a Publisher document for use in other documents or in webpages. When I copy from Publisher and paste into an ASCII editor, linebreaks are lost and strange characters are showing up. Sometimes I delete a single character and the word suddendly "breaks apart" somewhere. This ONLY happens when pasting from Publisher (and possibly Designer/Photo too, but I don't do that) Please give me the option to copy plain, unformatted text that can be used in other applications without the hasssle. lacerto 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Apple's Xcode and TextEdit both seem to accept the text and display it correctly, but Atom for example does not. Agreed that this should be fixed.
